How to launch an MVP in 8 weeks without burning your budget

The framework we use to take an idea to a functional product in two months. Week by week: what gets done, what gets decided and what gets cut.

Team celebrating the launch of an MVP with a sprint board

An MVP is not "a cheap, ugly product". It is the fastest version that validates the business hypothesis with real users.

Week 1-2: Discovery and decisions

We define hypothesis, target user, success metric and scope cut (what is NOT included).

Week 3-4: Design and infra

Wireframes of key flows, minimum design system, database, auth, deploy pipeline.

Week 5-6: Core development

Short sprints with weekly demo. Only the 3-5 flows that validate the hypothesis get built.

Week 7: QA and beta users

Testing with 5-10 real users, critical fixes, analytics instrumentation.

Week 8: Launch

Production deploy, active monitoring, first structured feedback cycle.
